The Let’s Play LA: Youth Employment Track is a paid workforce readiness program for high school students who want to gain real-world experience in education, events, logistics, and leadership. Through hands-on opportunities in two distinct tracks — Field and Operations — students build skills that translate to future jobs, college applications, and life after graduation.
Whether you're passionate about engaging with kids, organizing events, managing social media, or supporting a mission-driven organization, there's a place for you on the Play Crew.
PLAY CREW: Field Track

For students who love to move, engage, and play with kids.
This track places youth directly on the front lines of Let's Play LA programs. You'll learn how to actively engage children through games, enrichment classes, camps, and parties. Participants develop confidence, communication, and leadership — while creating unforgettable experiences for the next generation of players.

PLAY CREW: Operations Track
For students interested in what keeps a business running behind the scenes.
From inventory and scheduling to content creation and event logistics, this track gives youth a deep dive into the operations of a growing company. Perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs, managers, or creatives — this is where the magic is built.

🔁 Crossover Opportunities
Play Crew participants can explore both tracks throughout the program. After reaching key milestones, they’ll be eligible for more leadership opportunities and specialized tasks.
💸 Paid Work & Incentives
This is more than volunteering — it’s a launchpad.
Students start in a volunteer phase, earning credit toward paid opportunities as they grow. Youth may also be eligible for sponsored wages through programs like Youth@Work. Incentives, milestone bonuses, and leadership roles are all part of the journey.
👕 Uniform & Identity
Play Crew members receive official gear after completing their introductory training and fieldwork hours. This gear represents their professionalism and lets families and kids know they are trusted members of the Let’s Play LA team.
